Russian Printer Strengthens its Soma Fleet
Printing and converting company, A-Flex has been operating in the Russian flexible package market since 2003. Over the past ten years it has established itself as one of the most important businesses in the region and currently employs 84 personnel. The company has seen year on year growth with increases in both turnover and production capacity enabling it to process a large amount of flexible packaging. In 2013, the company added to its fleet of Soma printing and converting equipment with the purchase of a Soma Flex Midi 1270 8 EG printing press. The machine joins a Mini 800 8E printing press, two laminators, models Lamiflex S 850, a Lamiflex EKO 1320, and three slitter rewinders comprised of a Venus II 1100 and two Pluto II 1350 models.

, we asked general director, Alexej Alexandrovič Nedopekinov, how he came to know about Soma equipment and the company and he explained, “We participated at a trade fair in Moscow, where we first came into contact with the Soma brand and its products for flexographic printing. We have been cooperating with the company ever since. The decision on this year’s purchase was based on quality to price ratio. Given these requirements, or shall we say demands, Soma came out on top.”
A-Flex prints and converts a wide range of material including foils
, BOPP, aluminum foil, parchment paper, CPP and PE. The company’s largest customers are in food production. “The competition in this field is truly intense, so we pay great attention to flexibility, quality, delivery times and maintenance services,” adds Nedopekinov. “Our company philosophy is based on professionalism.
